Breakdown of fees:

Flower cost varies on the type.  Wood flowers types can be sunflower, zinnia, rose, tulip, gardenia, and cherry blossoms.  The sizes also differ from 4", 3", 2", and 1.5".  Assortments consists of 50, 100, 400, 1000, and up to 5000.  You can view all flower types by checking out their site at https://.www.solawoodflowers.com 

Flowers can be purchased in bulk in assortments of package sizes. Upon our initial discussion, I will be able to analyze about how many flowers you will need for your order. I ask that you have all of your information ready for me in regards to how many bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, or centerpieces you would like.

Sola wood flowers also has supplies such as bamboo stems, green floral wire, flower scents, baby breath,  and greenery.  We can review your choices and then figure out what the cost of your supplies will be. I ask for 50% payment to purchase the supplies you choose which is due at the time of consultation. Supply fee may not be refundable, please see contract information for additional details. The final payment is due one week prior to the delivery of your purchase.  I will  order your supplies and have them shipped to my home. Some supplies can also be ordered on amazon. However, I do not recommend using amazon for the purchase of your wood flowers as I have had incidents that they do not send the correct amount of flowers, and we end up having to order more. With experience ordering from sola wood directly, I have always had the correct amount of flowers in my order. 

Sola wood flowers can be colored any color of acrylic paint available.  I do recommend choosing paint from amazon or Michaels as their cost is slightly less than the colors on Sola wood. I am able to add additional embellishments to your bouquets such as pearls, glitter, and rhinestones.   I can purchase your bouquet holders if you choose that look off of amazon as their prices are decent. They can vary on prices based on the look you would like. When making a bouquet using the flower foams, we also need to buy pins to hold the flowers in. There are variations of those as wells that can be more fancy and others that can be a little less is you choose a more basic look. These pins can also be purchased on amazon.  If you have reviewed my photos on my page, I can also add additional embellishments such as gems. I can purchase these on amazon.  Boutonnieres and corsages are also available. The boutonniere holders and corsage bracelets also can be purchased on amazon. 

 

Foam flowers-  Foam flowers are also a beautiful choice. I do order them off of amazon, and they have multiple colors to choose from. I have many examples of foam arrangements on this page as well for review. You may have seen these types of flowers on websites such as Temu or Sheen. I do not recommend ordering from either of these, as the quality of the flowers are not the best as I have learned from experience. However, I can order from the site if you choose to. The foam flowers ordered from Amazon are very good quality.   These flowers can also have gems, pearls, rhinestones added.  If you are looking for a more realistic look of your flowers, I do recommend the wood flowers. 

 

Design fees -  My designs can be very detailed. Often I will spend 2 hours or more as my work is very detailed.  I begin by coloring each flower one by one. The flowers are colored by using  acrylic paint colors of your choice, water and softener. The softener helps the flowers to have a soft feel to them, giving them a realistic feel and look.  The process continues by adding glitter if you choose. The flowers take up to 3 days to dry.  Each flower is placed one by one on the bouquet foam. Pins are added. I then add in your greenery or baby breaths. Upon completion of having the bouquet filled, I then add any embellishments such as gems, pearls. Those are also placed one by one on each flower .

  Your delivery will be shipped our brought to you with your bouquets wrapped in bubble wrap for added protection. Boutonnieres and corsages will be placed in small plastic boxes.  

 

Price determination-  You are responsible for the total costs of all of your supplies plus designer fee. I will save all receipts and provide them to you prior to the final payment due. If you pay to much from your 50% downpayment, I will return your money.  If your supplies come to more than our original estimated cost, you will have additional supply fees charged at your final payment.  

Designer fees- 

Mini package- up to 5 items such as bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages  $150 designer fee + your supply cost.

Small package- 6 items to 10 items such as bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages $250 designer fee + your supply cost.

Medium package- 11 items up to 16 items such as bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages $350 designer fee + your supply cost.

Large package- 17 items up to 21 items such as bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages $450 designer fee + your supply cost.

Extra Large package- 22 items up to 27 items such as bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages $550 designer fee + your supply cost.

 

 

 

Acceptable forms of payments include cash, Money order, Venmo, and Paypal.  Checks are allowed with understanding that a $30 return fee will be applied to each check that comes back with insufficient funds. Checks can be payable to Mary Destro. 

Some interesting facts about flowers in 2025:

The average cost of live wedding flowers in the United States typically can range from $1,500 to $2,500 but can vary significantly based on factors like the size of the wedding, floral choices, and location.  Average costs for specific items such as a bridal bouquet can be from $175-$350, bridesmaid bouquets $50-$150, boutonnieres $17-$30, corsages $25-$35. 

 

For these reasons, you can save money on your wedding flowers by buying sola wood or foam flowers. The florals made at sola wood are produced from a natural tapioca root, making beautiful flowers that are authentic looking as well as long lasting. These flowers do not wilt and can be used time after time, which makes them worth your hard working money.   Determining the cost of your wedding flowers varies greatly from couple to couple. The rule of thumb budget suggests 8% of the total wedding budget is expensed to flowers.  With choosing sola wood or foam flowers, your expense will be a lot less and you can save your money for others things such as your honeymoon!
